Did you know that an estimated Eighty percent of personal computers that are hooked up to a internet connection are currently plagued with adware? That is quite an alarming number considering that a vast majority of those infected don't even know they have a major security threat snooping inside their PC. With it being such a menace, you can see why it is critical to have spyware remover software installed on your PC .

So if I never installed any unknown programs, then how did it get installed on my computer? Their are many ways that spyware gets installed on a PC. Probably the most common is through spam webpages. A lot of these spam webpages are just crap websites that are littering the web in the Google search results. As soon as you click on one of these web pages, it takes over your computer and automatically installs the malicious program. If you had a spyware removal software installed, it would instantly alert you that the adware program is about to install.

The second most common way to get infected is through downloads. Remember the seemingly innocent application you had to download? Well, that is probably the cause of your nasty headache. Some of the time it can be included in with widely respected programs, as the creators see it as another source of income. They will sell all the personal data collected about you to other people, or even use it for their own evil ways. If you had a spyware removal software, it would warn you when a program you are installing is infected with spyware.

The next most common way of infection is through weaknesses in your PC. This can be through internet explorer, or through one of your pc port connections. Hackers spend all day trying to find a weakness, and when they do, they can use it as a back door into your files. Once they are in, they can mess with your settings, install more harmful programs on your PC, use your computer for their own evil doings, and create more havoc than imaginable. It's hard to believe that this kind of infection is hardly noticeable due to the hackers hiding their presence. One of the only ways to be sure if you have this kind of infection is to run a scan with a good spyware remover software.

Spyware is a major threat, and not one to be unprepared for. Did you know that over half of the calls that computer repair companies receive are due to these kinds of infections. Just think, these people are paying a computer repair guy over 0 an hour for a simpletask that should have been prevented with a basic spyware removal software program.
