How To Tell If It Is Love Or Lust

Spead the word...

Sometimes it can walk right up to you out of the blue and hit you directly in the face when you were not even thinking about it. Sometimes it will be lurking behind the scenes and sneak up on you slowly and quietly like a shadow jumping out of the dark. If you think that we are talking about a burglar or a thief, well, we are not. We are talking about love.

Sometimes we will meet someone and we will begin to hope that a love relationship will develop right away. Then there may be times when you have known someone for a while and love will begin to blossom slowly and gently. In either situation it can be hard to determine if what you have started to feel is real love or something else you can not explain.

To be able to answer this burning question about love, first you must consider your symptoms. The term symptoms can be applied because love can often be described as an ailment. Not that it is a bad thing like a real sickness, but in that it is a condition that has to be diagnosed before it can be treated properly.

It might seem silly but does your heart go pitter patter anytime you get near this person? Do you feel suddenly warm and flushed in the face? This is not necessarily love. This can be plain old lust and is often misdiagnosed as love. It takes more than these two symptoms to come to the conclusion that what you are feeling is love.

When you feel a desire to jump into bed with someone and have sex with them that is one thing, when you feel the desire to jump into bed with someone and have a long conversation with them that is another thing.

Feeling the need to share more than just your body with someone can be a sign that love is in the air especially if it is also accompanied by the desire to have jump into bed and have sex with them. It is advisable however, to have the conversation encounter before you have the sexual one..

Immediately feeling at a loss when the person has gone from you can be a sign of blooming love or a sign of blooming obsession. If you are constantly worried that they are looking at someone else or afraid that you are going to lose them, then this might be leaning towards obsession.

If you are thinking more about how well the relationship is going and are just looking forward to being together again, this might be a more reliable sign of love. Follow your heart, it holds the real answer you are looking for.
